What an inspiring idea! It would be so easy to get caught up with all the doom and gloom of these recessionary days, but I believe in what you focus on grows and noticing the good stuff and how making sure we incorporate pleasure into our everyday working lives not only makes the mundane rewarding, but has capacity to energise and create more!

Casseroles, warmth, poetry - sounds like a lovely week, though better no doubt with more sleep.

I actually started reading a novel again, after no energy to do so since Bobby's arrival. I danced to a couple of tracks on a CD - he thought I was a bit odd - courtesy of restarting The Artist's Way with the Sustainably Creative group. I bought a little sketchbook and pen. Bobby has wanted lots of tummy tickling. We rode on a bus yesterday for the first time - he was great. My birthday today - I'm having veggie haggis with a friend who is just arriving.

There was pain - a lot of it physical after Shiatsu. But overall a good week.

Yes, that does make sense (to me anyway, I think I understand).
For me, that would work beautifully, so long as the need you do meet for yourself for compassion/supporting doesn't mean that more pressing burning needs are always ignored and never get met. (If THAT makes any sense).

I think overall I've been managing all 5 for years now but each has little bits still in process. Much of that is because I'm balancing my needs with the needs of others and recognise that sometimes, I can meet a fundamental need of mine (to be compassionate/supportive) by prioritising their need over my other need, if that makes any sense!

My thoughts are duely and gently provoked.

I think I'm mainly exploring 1 and 5 at the moment...strange and wonderful realising how changing my perspective on things makes such a difference. Letting myself have what I want and what brings me joy.
