Feeding the soul

What feeds your soul?  For me today, my soul was well and truly fed.

Pimms in the garden and it didn’t rain.  This is a first for me.

Cooking for lovely, lovely friends, courtesy of Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall’s most soulful and gorgeous recipe for ‘french beans with tapenade and chicken’….mmmmmmm, followed by Nigel Slater’s also most soulful and gorgeous recipe for ‘Nigel’s delightful trifle’, also mmmmmmmmm

and just a little Sauternes with pudding ….

then a nice pot of Columbian (fair trade) coffee accompanied by Jan Garbarek/The Hilliard Ensemble’s ‘Officium’
