New home, new focus

Bridging the gap

Welcome to my new home.

I’ve moved. And I’ve changed almost everything.

I know. It’s a shock. I’m only just getting used to it myself.
There has definitely been a symbolic crossing of the water. The bridge in the picture reminds me of that.
The website has a new name and looks completely different too.
I’m calling my new site with integrity, as you can see. I like that much better because its focus is on what you do and the things that you wrestle with about doing business and living your life with integrity. It’s especially hard, keeping the integrity in this climate.

The practical soul, my old site, was, and still is, much loved but it sums up what I do, I’m the practical soul who helps you find or craft new ways to do business with integrity.

The looking completely different part. There’s lots of long stories about that, which I can tell you if you want to know. I just hope you like it and it’s the kind of place you’ll want to come and visit often, to talk about all the important things about working with integrity and, more importantly to my mind, doing it with pleasure.

With pleasure?

“I’m sorry, you clearly have no idea how difficult things are or what kind of a climate we’re in here. We can go for ‘with integrity’ but ‘with pleasure’ we’re going to have to wait for”.

Yes that’s what I thought. But not anymore.

In fact, now you’re all here, I have an announcement to make. Maybe it’s more of a declaration.

I am declaring 2010 the year of pleasure

This year, regardless of difficulties and obstacles, there will be pleasure.

Struggle will be phased out as an operating system and pleasure will be phased in.

I heard Eckhart Tolle say to a man in a class once

“You don’t have to worry about your bills. You have to pay them, but you don’t have to worry about them”

I like that. I can have difficulties and obstacles and work out what to do about them but not worry about them.

And whatever I decide to do about them, it will be done in a way that I can say it was a pleasure.

And it really is with pleasure that I invite you to join me.

Join me here at the blog to discuss all manner of things related to living and working with integrity and with pleasure.

And if you’d like, join me in the year of pleasure, not just discussing it but doing it, I would be delighted to have your company.

I’ll be talking about how it’s going for me here at the blog every Friday,  you can join in, in the comments, and say how it’s going for you too.

As you might imagine, I have more thoughts on pleasure. Some of them are in another post called,

‘2010, the year of pleasure’ so have a look at that if the idea of  a year of pleasure appeals to you.

You can get posts sent to you as an e-mail if you sign up in the right hand sidebar there to ‘get blog updates by e-mail‘ and if you want a bit more of an in depth, monthly look at some of the subjects then subscribe to the newsletter too.

I’m so glad you’re here warming my new blog, I’d love to hear your comments.

To let me know you’ve found your way over here and to bless this blog.
To share your stories of how you’re working with integrity, what challenges that holds for you and celebrations of ways you’ve managed to stay with integrity.
To share stories of how you’re doing things with pleasure.
