Meeting number four
With the aim of peace, everywhere, starting here, now, transforming violence in life, one word, thought or deed at a time.
it’s not the slog that will get us there, it’s the joy
examples of things that warmed our hearts are also shared
Transformation from the fourth meeting this week on Thursday 7th April
1 Was feeling ready to give up with some very difficult working relationships
So in need of harmony there
Needing empathy and understanding here for the pain of the situation
and also in need of support to help resolve matters
to see if we can reach agreement about a vision, agreement about what responsibilities are and how they’re shared
With empathy and support it feels possible to stay with it.
- Guerilla gardening happening in a local plot that had been taken over fenced off and become overgrown. Someone has been climbing the fence and gardening in there, weeding and planting and now it’s a wonderful sight.
- Seeing someone who had suffered a very difficult family situation happy and thriving.
2.Two sets of rules
The information about tax avoidance schemes coming to light from the Panama papers highlighting who has benefitted and seeing the inequality of it all.
Was feeling powerless, not able to be at peace with that and yet not able to see what I could do.
Then seeing this from Julie Daley.
A reminder that we’re here to do what we are here to do. I see that what I’m here to do isn’t politics and there are others who do that so well. I can support the campaigns that they lead.
That finding what we are here to do, and doing that is what I need to do.
There’s the peace.
Again, this from Julie Daley.
As well as helping to remind me to stay close to my soul as my guide in these times, I think it’s so beautifully written and Julie’s photographs… the glorious, sometimes delicate, always sensual, beauty of flowers are heartwarming for me. So much.
Next in person meeting
Thursday 21st April, 7.30 – 9pm
The Salisbury Arms Hotel, Hertford
Words, the language we consume and adding the language we use to talk to others or ourselves.
Plus – now adding thoughts
Examples of violence in thought and in the language we are surrounded by and consume which we would like to be otherwise.
– examples of violent language and or thoughts
– the translation if you already know how you’d like it to be
– examples of the heartwarming, so as to remember that love and peace are there in the world
Bring the heartwarming in whatever balance is good for your heart.
Your feel fine balance might be one heartwarming example for ten violent examples,
you might need ten heartwarming ones for every one violent one, or in equal measure…
adjust according to your heart’s needs. I think that my heart has grown very heavy looking at the state of the world this past few years, I may need to bring many more heartwarming examples for some time to rebalance my nervous system and lift my heart again.
